Then Came the Fog

A boat sits motionless in Scituate Harbor, surrounded by dense fog that quickly rolled in during the late afternoon.

I was out for a walk with my wife and dog yesterday afternoon around Scituate Harbor when, out of nowhere, a thick, dense fog suddenly rolled in. The temperature dropped so suddenly, it caught me off guard—and that’s when I realized something was shifting. The boats were barely visible for a short while, their shapes softened and blurred by the mist, and the whole harbor felt quieter somehow. I didn’t plan on taking photos, but I couldn’t resist capturing the way the fog added this unexpected layer of drama to such a familiar place.
