I made this photograph at dawn on a quiet weekend morning, when the plaza was empty and the city was still. The First Church of Christ, Scientist, often called the Mother Church, is seen from across the plaza, with the full dome and surrounding architecture settling into the early light. It was a rare, calm moment that doesn’t last long in this part of Boston.
