The frosted practice grounds glow during sunset at Granite Links in Quincy, Massachusetts, just after a recent snowstorm. I happened to be in the area and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to catch the last light on the snow-covered course.
The South Shore has some beautiful vistas, but the elevation at Granite Links makes it arguably the best spot for a sunset in the area. The way the light hit the frozen green was truly special, and the grounds were incredibly quiet—nothing but the sound of the wind across the hills. If you’re visiting for photos, the area near the practice green offers the best view of the sun setting over Blue Hills.
