Description

The Christopher Wheatley is a fireboat that was added to the Chicago Fire Department in 2011, marking the first new fireboat for the city in sixty years. It replaced the Victor L. Schlaeger. Built in Wheatley, Ontario, the vessel was named in honor of a young Chicago firefighter who died in the line of duty in August 2010.
