Boston Light, perched on Little Brewster Island in outer Boston Harbor, is a symbol of maritime history. While it is accessible by boat, you can also catch a spectacular view of this iconic lighthouse from Fort Revere, a historic site on a small peninsula in Hull, Massachusetts.

Fort Revere, an 8-acre site on Telegraph Hill in Hull Village, is home to remnants of two seacoast fortifications: one dating back to the American Revolution and another used between 1898 and 1947. It offers not only a glimpse into the past but also stunning views of the surrounding area, including Hingham Bay and Spinnaker Island. The fort is also a prime location to watch the sun rise over the bay.

Boston Light, established in 1716, is the oldest lighthouse in the United States. The current structure, built in 1783, is the second oldest active lighthouse in the country. Though it was automated in 1998, it remains the only lighthouse in the U.S. still staffed by the U.S. Coast Guard.

Nearby Spinnaker Island, formerly known as Hog Island, adds another layer of interest. In the 1980s, the island was transformed into a residential complex with condominiums and a marina, earning its new name. The island now provides an excellent backdrop to the views from Fort Revere, adding both a historical and modern element to this unique site.
