Rediscovering the Timeless Nikon FE

A close up of a Nikon FE film camera.

Rediscovering the timeless Nikon FE has been an exciting journey for me. Introduced in 1978, this 35mm film camera offers a durable build and impressive versatility. Aimed at advanced amateurs, it features both aperture-priority auto-exposure and full manual control, earning a special place among photography enthusiasts.

Not long ago, I acquired a barely used model with a 50mm f/1.8 AI lens, and I’m absolutely thrilled! This setup motivates me to capture images and explore the nuances of film photography once again. The feel of the camera in my hand, the satisfying click of the shutter, and the anticipation of seeing the developed photos make using the Nikon FE a truly unique experience.

Stay tuned for some of the images I capture with this iconic camera. If you’re as passionate about film photography as I am, you might feel inspired to pick up a classic like the Nikon FE for yourself.
