As my San Francisco series comes to a close, it feels fitting to end with the Golden Gate Bridge. Photographing and walking this iconic structure had long been a dream of mine, and finally experiencing both was unforgettable.
My wife and I began the day at the Visitor Center, taking in its history and sweeping views of the bridge. Crossing it on foot revealed its immense scale and the panoramic sweep of the bay, made all the more alive by the rhythm of cars, cyclists, and fellow pedestrians.
I captured the bridge from every angle—from the Visitor Center to North Vista Point, and even atop Battery Spencer. Each vantage offered a unique perspective on the bridge and the city beyond, highlighting its strength, grace, and presence.
The day ended at Baker Beach, where the bridge glowed in the warm hues of sunset, stretching across the water in a ribbon of steel and light. Seen from every perspective, the Golden Gate felt at once familiar and endlessly remarkable, a monument of both place and memory.
