Autumn Bridge

A bridge in autumn in Hanover, Massachusetts. If you drive on Route 53 between Hanover and Pembroke,, you might catch a glimpse of the Washington Street Bridge. This bridge separates the two towns and was built by the Commonwealth, county, and towns in 1904. I love how it reflects in the waters of the North River below, especially during autumn. However, capturing it from the Route 53 side is challenging due to the odd angle and many trees blocking the view.

I tried to find a path under the road bridge for a better view but couldn’t locate an entrance. Before giving up, I decided to drive around to the other side and access the Washington Street Bridge itself. There, I framed this photo of the Route 53 Bridge.

Sometimes, despite your best efforts, the shot you hoped for doesn’t come. But each attempt teaches you something new and adds to the adventure.
