The Mayflower II docked at State Pier in Plymouth, Massachusetts, looked stunning in the sunrise. As a lesser-known fact, the Mayflower II is a full-scale replica of the original Mayflower that brought the Pilgrims to America in 1620. Built in 1957 in Devon, England, it sailed across the Atlantic to Massachusetts, following a similar route to the original ship. The voyage was a gesture of post-war friendship between the U.S. and Britain, and since then, this replica has served as a floating museum in Plymouth, letting visitors experience what life was like aboard a 17th-century vessel.
